About the Museum:

The museum displays artifacts representing the life of early pioneers from Waskada and surrounding areas. The complex is comprised of six buildings, five of which are original structures, two on their original sites: Union Bank (1906), an operating Blacksmith Shop (1927- listed in the Canadian Registry of Historical Places), Menota School (1888-1952), Anglican Church (1914), a coal shed (renovated in 2007), and a vehicle building (new in 1999).

In these buildings are historical items featuring tractors and implements, restored trucks and cars, original land deeds, household items, military uniforms, medals and photos, clothing, a hand loom, silent movie projectors, school registers, desks, and supplies, church memorabilia, former business items, firefighting vehicles (including a restored fire wagon), musical items (instruments, radios, Edison phonographs, records, pianos, pump organ), carpentry tools and blueprints, firearms, cameras, Manitoba license plate collection (1912-present) ,buggies, ox cart replica, 1913 steam engine, and sports memorabilia.
