About the Museum:

Fort Dauphin Museum is surrounded by a wooden palisade that takes you inside to the era of the fur trade period and early pioneer settlement of Dauphin and the Parkland. Learn what it was like to walk in Peter Fidler's shoes, mapping this beautiful country and as post master of Fort Dauphin while employed with the Hudson Bay Company. Find out what it was like to go to school in a one-room school house and live day to day as a pioneer. Explore the Parklands Archaeological Laboratory and view some of the 80,000 artifacts located right in Manitoba. See "Chris the Croc", one of seven found in the world. Come and see Dauphin's hidden gem. You won't be disappointed!
